Certificates and Documents

During the sale or purchase of a cherished registration, you may be asked to supply/amend/send off certain certificates or documents, for example, to prove that you own the registration before you can actually sell it.

V5 Vehicle Registration Document

Often known as the 'Log Book', this document contains the vehicle's details along with the owner's name and address.

V750 Certificate Of Entitlement

A DVLA Swansea issued document confirming the entitlement of a particular registration.

V778 Retention Certificate

If the vehicle on which the registration is to placed has not yet been purchased, the registration may be kept on a 'Retention Certificate' for up to 12 months.
